E_Harmony for young people.?

Hey I have a friend who keeps complaining about being single. Would it be a good idea for me to pay for a E-Harmony account for him. We grew up together and all so I figured I would try and help him out. I don't trust those sites though plus I am wondering if they really work for younger people my friend is 21 and lives in the Redding area. So I guess my question is does E-Harmony work and will it work for someone 21?
