What a JERK! Have you ever prayed for someone publicly to humble them of their pride...?

We were in a lecture and had to separate into two groups...then one student was a jerk and commented "Yeah, separate the pure men from the half men" referring to one of my friends and that made my blood boil. Although I believe sodomy is a sin, I also believe that slandering a person is a sin too. I have always wanted to publicly pray for someone to humble them of their pride. You reap what you sow. If you are going to embarr my friend, I am going to embarr you. Is this an effective way, since prayer is an act of mercy and you are doing good by praying :)
