What makes someone an "elitist"?
Some of Palin's supporters swear that the reason why the Left dislikes her so much is because she isn't an "elitist" like one of them? What exactly makes a person an "elitist"? Is it a refusal to use expressions like "shucks", "gosh darn", "golly", or "you betcha"? Is it a preference for Dijon mustard? Is it reading books other than those put out by the likes of Danielle Steele or Ann Coulter? Is it a belief that the earth is over 6,000 years old and that human beings evolved from simpler species? Is it a belief that it's useful for high school students to learn about condoms, birth control pills, and other forms of contraception and STD prevention? Is it a belief that Christianity isn't the only religion that is deserving of consideration? What exactly makes someone an "elitist"? I'm really curious to know.
