Is Peter Forsberg a Hall of Famer?

Yes, I know it's a dumb question, but...some people in Toronto would be irritated if Doug Gilmour is byped by Forsberg (after all, if you're a Maple Leafs fan, Gilmour is the greatest thing since sliced bread). If the rumors are true and Forsberg decides to hang up the skates, would he measure up to the greats in the Hall? I say yes. The numbers don't lie: 640 regular season games, 235 goals, 581 ists, 816 points, well over a point a game. In the postseason, Foppa was golden: 139 gms, 61 g, 101 a, 162 pts. Plus I alsomost left out a few little details: a Clader Trophy (1995), a Ross (2003), a Hart (2003), two Stanley Cup rings (1996 and 2001), and two Olympic Gold medals (1994 and 2006). Not only that, he is a two-time Triple Gold (Olympic medal, World Championship medal, Stanley Cup) member (only two other NHLers can say that). The long-term body of work may not compare with Gretzky and Lemieux, but Forsberg was just as great!
